Q. What is your after hours policy? A. Dr. Kumar is available after hours/ weekends/ holidays for minor emergencies,
concerns or questions that cannot wait till the next business day. Please call the office at 214-705-9696
for instructions on how to reach him. For life threatening emergencies, please call 911 or rush to the nearest emergency room.
Calls during office hours will be returned within 24 hrs.
Q. How long are the office visits? A. Initial visits may last about 30-45 minutes and follow up visits may last for 15-20
minutes or more depending on the complexity of the symptoms and illness. Please bring all the pertinent medical information
including immunization record, current medications and recent reports at the initial visit. Please feel free to bring any
items that may keep your child entertained through the office visit.
Q. How soon can we get an appointment? A. Our open door policy allows patients to make same day appointments for sickness. We try to schedule
the well child or health promotion visit within a week. Our friendly office staff will work with you to schedule the appointment
to fit in your schedule.
Q. How long is the wait during our appointment to see the doctor? A. We try to keep the wait time to minimum and generally are able to see the patient
within 15 minutes of arrival at the office. Occasionally, due to unexpected emergencies we may be delayed but please let the
front office know about your needs and schedule and we will try our best to accomodate you.
